"Dr. Harinda Vidanage formerly functioned as Director, Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies (BCIS) 2009 – 2011 Sri Lanka’s premier International relations educations center and think tank. Dr. Vidanage is a political scientist by training has completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh. His research interests and publications have primarily been on politics of cyberspace, diaspora political engagements, political activism using new media and cyber terrorism. He is also a political analyst on global political developments and their implications on Sri Lanka. Dr. Vidanage’s recent scholarly interests have been in the effect of visual politics on International relations. He currently teaches new trends in South Asian geo politics and its global implications at St. Lawrence. He is leading a reading group among faculty members of St. Lawrence and surrounding universities on cyber cultures, cyber politics and cyber security."
