Grassroots media require grassroots support!

How You Can Help

Today the need for truly independent, grassroots media is greater than ever before. So is the need for projects that can help promote critical media literacy and greater public awareness of chronically under-reported issues. As a grassroots organization, we heavily rely on donations to carry out our work. If you support our efforts in these areas, we encourage you to consider making a donation to help us sustain and expand our work.

Our supporters have two ways to donate to us. Our Givebutter platform on the right allows our supporters to contribute one-time or recurring donations with credit, debit, and Venmo. Donors are able to make notes about what they would like their donations to be used for such as for general operating costs or for our Contributor Fund.

Donating through the St. Lawrence University platform means your donation will fall under the university’s overall fundraising reports, while still having 100% of your donations going to Weave News’ on-campus account. To donate through this platform, you will need to click on the button below and select “Weave News” from the dropdown menu in order for your donation to go to our organization. Donating this way is also tax-deductible as St. Lawrence University is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.

Whichever donation method you choose, 100% of what you donate will go towards supporting the work of Weave News. Recurring donations are especially welcome and are the best way to provide steady support, but one-time donations of any amount are always welcome, too! If you can’t donate at this time, engaging with our content and sharing our work is more than enough. Thank you so much for supporting Weave News!

**100% of funds raised during Weave News fundraisers will go towards supporting Weave News' work, unless otherwise stated.

Employer Gift Matching Programs

Many companies support their employees' charitable donations through gift matching programs. This allows donors to maximize the impact of their gift to Weave News. The program may have a different name at your company so check with your HR or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department to learn more. No matter the donation amount, making use of this resource will allow you to double or triple your impact!
