NKOSINGIPHILE MABASO
Nkosi is a singer, songwriter and storyteller born and raised in a township called Thokoza in the east of Johannesburg, South Africa. At the age of 12, she attended a leadership academy in Johannesburg and then attended a liberal arts college in New York. She graduated college in 2019 with honors in sociology and a computer science minor. Nkosi is passionate about sharing stories of hope, healing, triumph and love.
ELIZA MAHER
Eliza Maher studied English Creative Writing and Global Studies at St. Lawrence University and has contributed to the Glocal Dispatches series. She grew up in Geneva, New York, in the Finger Lakes area of the state. In her free time she likes to run, read, and bake.

Zakiy T. Manigo is a rising first-generation senior from Elizabeth, New Jersey pursuing a dual bachelorβs degree in Mathematics and Computer Engineering through St. Lawrence University's 3+2 Combined Engineering program.

Alessandro Marangelli (he/they) is a student at St. Lawrence University double majoring in Anthropology and Environmental Studies and minoring in Global Studies. Adam Marcinkowski has contributed to the Glocal Dispatches series. Raised in central Vermont, Adam grew up spending lots of time outside. After graduating the Lake Champlain Waldorf high school in 2016, he took a gap year in which he worked and traveled around the Americas and Vietnam.

Andrew Miller is an incoming graduate student pursuing a masters in climate change at KΓΈbenhavns Universitet. He is interested in international environmental politics and understanding the science of our climate and biosphere.

Sheila Murray reported for Weave News during her semester abroad in Costa Rica, focusing on how citizens used street art as a form of expression. She continued her contributions, post-graduation, from Boston, MA, seeking out small businesses and events that were inclusive and provided interesting platforms for public expression.

Εukasz W. Niparko is a human rights advocate (LL.M. in international human rights law from the European University Viadrina). He is with Weave News since 2009. Between 2011 and 2013, he served as the organizationβs Public Relations and Big Questions Coordinator.

Dr. Steve Peraza earned a Ph.D. in U.S. History at SUNY-Buffalo and is currently an Assistant Professor at SUNY Buffalo State. Dr. Peraza graduated St. Lawrence University in December 2006 and is a long-time Weave News contributor focusing on issues of poverty, policing, and racial justice.

Jordan Pescrillo (she/her) is a Buffalo native who has spent over a decade living and working in Southeast Asia. She is a trainer, curriculum designer and advocate for the Burmese post-secondary education sector. Community development principles are at the core of her work and she passionately brings these principles to her writing. Jordan graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2012 and has been supporting Weave News efforts since she was a student.

Dr. JesΓΊs G. Ruiz earned his Ph.D. in Latin American Studies at Tulane University and is currently an ACLS Emerging Voices Postdoctoral Fellow at Duke University. He specializes in the history of Latin America & the Caribbean, the Black Atlantic, and specifically Haiti and the Haitian Revolution.

Charles Scaife is PhD Candidate in Environmental Sciences at the University of Virginia and a science policy fellow working in Washington, DC. When's he not trying to understand climate change and its impacts on our forests and waterways, he's trail running, practicing yoga, or binge-watching a new series.
